Understanding Subdomains

A subdomain is a subdivision of your main domain. It functions as a separate site, although it's still connected to your main domain. For example, in the URL "blog.example.com", "blog" is a subdomain of the "example.com" domain.

Subdomains are used to organize and navigate to different sections of your website. You can use them to differentiate distinct parts of your site. For instance, a company might use a subdomain for their blog, their e-commerce store, or their support page.
